Ok I've heard several times over the last few alphas that each trader has their own specialty. But what I haven't heard with any degree of certainty is what each trader specializes in, and how that changes things. Jen for example supposedly has more medical supplies, but I really haven't noticed much difference between her stock and anybody else. Rekt on the other hand DOES seem to offer more ...I.E. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug: 1)Pre gen 10k map, grab a zombie clear for passing gas station and complete it after she has closed the trader for the night. You do your starter quest, find your first trader, and you're set. You don't have as much incentive to try other traders, because they'll have the same stuff, whereas specialized traders give you an added reason to check them all at least once in a while.
