New to Porsche and new to this forum. Regarding the GT4 RS allocations, I just signed and wired for one yesterday at 50k over; European delivery after August. I had planned on asking if it was a good deal but it seems like I was very fortunate and should be thankful based on some of these posts.The gt4 is the more track focused. The gt4 will be lower, stiffer, and substantially more powerful. Since you can't test drive the gt4 the only possibility would be to see if they have a gt3 you could compare to a 911s or gts. That might give you an idea of the difference between the two cars. I wouldn't buy a gt4 as a daily driver, personally.

718 GT4 for $130k is a steal. Objectively speaking, yes, you should buy it. Ultimately only you could make the decision though. If you were offered a GT4 allocation for sticker, and don’t mind waiting 6mo-1yr+, that’s also an option. 981 GT4s are typically going for around the ~100k mark, so that’s another option.

I've been searching for an allocation (first for an RS, later for a regular GT4) for months. No joy on an RS, but by a stroke of luck, I managed to acquire an allocation for a regular GT4 after another customer cancelled (which admittedly advanced my place in the production queue; I was expecting to have to wait a year for the car).
