Until then, S&W had made a tiny .22 caliber model and Bekeart wanted something more substantial. So, he asked S&W to use their .32 caliber frame to make a .22 revolver. And then here’s the three side by side to show the length comparison. The 13 round magazine adds 5/8” of an inch to the grip (which gives me a full grip but barely making the cut) while the 15 round magazine adds a full 1 inch to the length with plenty of room for a full grip. It just feels much much better and I will definitely use for my edc.
