If you go from wide open to the most attenuated level, you can certainly hear some lost top end, but not a ton. Channel 2 is Tweedish, and does that sound very well. The new ones sounded just like the old ones. I prefer the odr-s as it has more control over the sound, particularly the low end which can be a bit thumpy on the odr-1.
