Seeing fades/progression on higher end products is more interesting, because it is good to see how high-end products hold up. When shoes are $40 they are not meant to hold up, thus destroying the entire purpose of doing this. They inexplicably last longer than Vans, at least for me, and in my opinion they look far better than Vans once they get a little wear on them. Worn out Chucks are a classic look. You might want to look at the Adidas 3MC as well. I want to recommend Puma for a similar look, but I don’t see where they offer a canvas shoe - it’s all leather ... Feb 21, 2023 ... Brands clashing rule is already pretty dumb but it doesn't really apply to this IMO. Adidas and Vans serve different subcultures for the most part so they're not really "rivals" in the same way Nike vs Adidas would be. Try getting the 8.5s heat molded or pull the liners out and abuse the hell out of em. Either should help break them in. If your toes aren't at all crunched or bent i would size down.
