After you take the lantern apart, clean everything and begin reassembly, there are two ways to correct this leaking area. * You can make a wrap of aluminum foil cut to fit, wrapped around the male side of the connection, then fit the pieces together.

I used the BB's in the fount with boiling vinegar and swished them around the 220BX fount, 'cause it had some rust in it. After that, I flushed it out with 70% isopropyl alcohol--all this before painting. All I have to do now is order some new Coleman stickers for the founts. Now both lanterns work great--like new.

Vent may have to be Brinkmann specific.The hanger rod is common to most Coleman lamps. Makes them much more versatile. Shades depend on the model. CQ and other large lamps like the 118 all look right with a 306 "Rayo" shade. They can be found for reasonable prices. Small lamps use a shade protector.
