DayZ mod was the reason I got into PC gaming in the first place. Most of my online friends I met through either the mod or standalone and it's always had a special place in my heart too. Kind of depressing to see previous roadmaps and realise we're not even close to seeing any of that implemented 2, 3 years later.

I haven't found an official server where there haven't been hackers unfortunately. So I play on modded servers that are still pretty much vanilla.
