I have a Gen 1 Shield in 9mm and a 43x. I have a lot of rounds through both. With the 8 round mag in the Shield, they are both have the same grip length. The Shield is thinner and barrel/slide is shorter. The Shield feels smaller and carries tighter to the body for me. The Shield is a better choice for concealment. The Glock will give you much more ammo. The accessories are more prevalent and easier to find for the Glock, too.
