I shot Contact out of 4 rifles today. Mostly at 50 yards and did some clay bird busting at 200 yards.at 50 yds my Martini International was bugholeing mostly,the cz 457 sport hated it and the Winchester 52 was about .40" My Anschutz 64 Sporter with set trigger and 4X Weaver shot a lucky 1" group at 100 yards with it!

It has the footprint of the Remington 700, so you can use it for a trainer rifle just like you would a VooDoo or a RimX action. Just at a lower price point.The Annies, VuDoo's, Winchester 52's, and even the Bergara are all bumped into the unlimited class which puts them up against the custom match rifles like the 2500 Holeshot or the Turbo, Hall, V22S, etc. Tough company for a production rifle, even a VuDoo. One of our local shooters is a former ARA champ who shoots a VuDoo V22.

The B-14R provides a great mid-step between the more budget-minded .22 LR precision rifles like the CZ 457 or Tikka T1x ($400-500) and the really high-end rifles like the Voodoo V-22 ($1,700+). Bergara $650 barreled action, $210 stock, $150 trigger for $1,010. the difference the Bergara has a nicer bolt action, more consistent point of aim no extraction issues! But at the end of the day they are both sub MOA rifles. but the Bergara is just a little better in my opinion. Attachments.I currently own a cz 457, a Ruger 77/22 a mid 70's Ruger 10/22. I did not even have to touch the ejector as of yet but mine is a newer production so not sure if the factory tightened them up somehow or not. Yes it also out shoots my CZ MTR.Bergara is well known for their excellent barrels. The barrel is free floated in the Bergara "tactical" gray stock. The precision 4140 steel barrel is 18" in length, features a 1:16" twist, and has a threaded muzzle for suppressor use. There is also a carbon-wrapped version for those wishing for a lighter-weight rifle.
If no longer "hard" to operate bolt, then there is no problem with bolt headspace. Reinstall shroud firing pin spring assembly and set to proper spacing of 1/16". This is usually one turn off from fully screwed down. The B-14 R is built on Bergara's HMR (Hunting Match Rifle) stock. It's the same stock used in its HMR centerfire rifles. The B-14 R is available as a complete rifle with Bergara's HMR stock or as a barreled action. Aftermarket barrel support is less than the CZ, but the CZ has less trigger and stock support than the Remington 700 pattern, but only slightly. Bergara also announced their new BMR(?) Which is a smaller 22lr sized action with similar design to the HMR, but is in the same price range of the CZ 457 Varmint.

I sent the Kidd to the Lapua test center, and I've also sent the Bergara and Vudoo. While the accuracy of the Kidd is good, the Bergara is better.
