I would say I spent around 10-15 hours each on the first three projects which are in C and 15-25 hours each on the last three in C++. For comparison, the longest I spent on a 281 project was probably 15 hours. That really doesn't seem too bad, especially since you're "supposed to" put in 2-3 hours of work per credit hour every week.
