Slide the rubber boots in both door hinges to the side, unwrap the sticky felt, and inspect the wires going into the door/frame connector. On my 2013, if I slide of the rubber boot in either direction I can see or even feel a connector in there.

Aug 6, 2019 · Sounds like a sticky lock motor due to cable routing water into it. When it doesn't unlock, lock it back up, then hit unlock twice. If it unlocks, it's the cable letting water into the motor housing. There is a recall 'fix'. You can also sit in the cab to see if it's trying to unlock (moves up a touch), but can't. It really isn't that bad. Just need a long 1/4 extension with a 6mm socket to get to the two screws on the bottom of the door panel. You can use a pry bar or large plate blade screwdriver to lift it up a bit and get more clearance. You can look at the door on the other side to get an idea of where the screws are.
