Today was the second time I was able to take my new Max 9 out to the range. The first time I did, the slide wasn't able to return to battery via slingshoting it. Also, just after firing a box of range rounds, the plastic takedown gate completely broke off causing the slide to get stuck back after almost every shot.

It results in a clean gun every time! And, save your money - you do not need to buy patches. Old tee shirts cut to size work great and are free. Step one, clean everything with dry patches (I use old t shirts to make my own free patches!). Step two, clean the inside of the bore with bronze brush and bore cleaner.

Once you remove the innards you can readjust/orient your safety button. 1. Use a 3/32" pin punch and remove the crosspin that holds the ejector assembly in place - take care as there is a spring under tension on the right hand side of the assembly. Remove the pin and the ejector, set them aside. 2.Also make sure the ejector is pushed all the way up in the normal position. If it's not, the trigger may not reset properly.
