Mgw shifter c6.

My previous C6 had the stock shifter and my Z06 has the MGW shifter in it from the previous owner. It's a huge difference. Absolutely love it. The throws on the stock shifter are far too long. Jun 18, 2008 · The MGW has 2 holes on the shaft for stock knobs, so the '08 knob or the older knobs will fit. They have a different shaft if you want to put different "ball" type knobs that screw on. They also have a really nice looking race knob that is "cylindrical" in shape. My only experience with short throw shifters in the C6 is the B&M and the MGW.

I installed the mgw last week in my 2002z. I had the SAME EXACT question you have. the instructions for the c5 show the "old style" stick which was in the stock position, which mounted directlly on top of the base stick. the stick i got was similar to the one in their c6 shifter install directions.

I want shortest shifts possible, But Want a firm chrisp feel too. What is the best option? My MGW was an improvement over the C6 shifter, it is very notchy, and direct/short, but it requires more effort than I would prefer, even with the anti-venom mod.
