For those unaware, Build 42 will come with two sorts of below ground floor. First off we’ll have the Permanent ones that will always be attached to locations on the map. These will generally be familiar locations, places of interest, businesses and secret military complexes. Today however, we’ll be looking at our Randomized ones.

New diseases and ways to die from hygiene issue are not an impossibility for post-apocalypse world. And certainly a welcome addition to the game to make yourself suffer even more.

The blog post told us the NPC update is build 43. 42 is a misc update with some new features, but nothing immensely big. Keep in mind that although build 40-41 took a full year or so, they claim that this was only due to the complete rewrite it basically required of the game. The hope is that builds 42-43-44 and onward will not take nearly as long.

I really suspect that when build 42 will go public, it will not be save compatible with build 41 saves. However when build 42 will go IWBUMS, initially it probably will be compatible.
