I've tried to increase the number in the option (Game Rules > Rules > Non-Dedicated Tethering-Distance) but nothing changes... my husband can only run away about 175 meters... it doesn't matter which number i put into this option, it changes ... On Ark Ascended I can't remove it buy just setting the tether distance to 100000 like on Ark se, even by changing it in game user settings. Anybody know how to remove it ? It makes the games horrible to play with a friend. Tether distance. I'm having some issues with the tether setting. I've set it to 3, 10, 100, and 999999, but it's always stuck at 180 meters. Does anyone know the issue or how to fix it? After some research, it appears that wildcard just hasn't even acknowledged that this is an issue.

Increasing the distance does not actually make it infinite like ASE, it will end up being around 200 meters or so on the highest setting. This is still annoying, but I don't think there is a fix right now.
