Note the orange looking path - when you connect to the crank battery positive post, it's got a path through N2, fuse N3, and the PCR to the aux battery.

They seem to fail first and then bring the charge down in the main battery shortly thereafter. Perhaps because the adaptive charging system is trying to charge the AUX and overcharges the main?Baja-D is correct.
