Biggest advantage is the elimination of 23+ years of old wires and sensors that may or may not be working correctly. Since your XJ is a 2001, it won't have plug wires or a distributor but instead has a coil pack ignition. As far as the E3 plugs or other fancy ones, thats your own decision.
