Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.

The transmission did not start out in 1st felt and remained stuck in what felt like 3rd or 4th. I drove home slowly about 2 miles and turned it off. IIRC if it was reflashed to factory and was in limp mode, tuning with some tuners might not take it out of limp mode. When I go from park to drive it immediately displays 1st gear and stays there.I do trust the service manager at this dealership and he definitely knows the lingo and they have mechanics there with big diesel trucks that are tuned and all that so I feel like they know what they're doing. He said it's not exactly a common problem that they see but they have done plenty of valve bodies on the 66RFE and 68RFE with good success.
