Over the last few years VXUS has had ~0.20-0.24% of its value in FTC. That’s a tax deduction that you won’t get if you hold VTI instead. However, VTI has had notably lower dividend yield than VXUS. In the neighborhood of 1-1.5% IIRC. And VTI is close to 100% qualified dividends vs more like 80% for VXUS.
