The idea of the sane magic prices is that it adjusts to its actual power and not its rarity as some items are much more powerful than what WoTC realised. the list adjusts for this. hence why I use it. the problem is that the "wand of the war mage" only gives +1 to attack and not to DC which prevents it from 1:1 copying its price
