If it's warm outside, the engine will succumb to heat soak and struggle if filled with regular 87 octane gas. If the air intake filter is clogged or the throttle body is really dirty it will also reduce power and acceleration from a stop. The 2018 1.5T uses the same (3rd gen) 6T40 6-speed as your wonderful 2015 2.5. Big +1 on changing that fluid at least consistent with the severe service schedule which is 45k on the 2018 1.5/6.
