Ram rotary shifter stuck in park.

Instead of shifting into Park or Reverse, I've turned the radio down. I've never once done that in the previous 35 years that I've owned GMC, Ford, and Ram pickups equipped with column shifters. Had it towed to local dealership and it started up fine several times. No trouble codes were found.

I did search around and got conflicting info on whether the shift linkage is inside or outside the trans housing. Any help is appreciated. Mine were not tightend to spec. Tech put on a scanner, with in 1 hour had the issue solved and tightend the eyelets to the ground bolt.

Mine were not tightend to spec. Tech put on a scanner, with in 1 hour had the issue solved and tightend the eyelets to the ground bolt.
