NSLS is not accredited by the Association of College Honor Societies. It is not a nonprofit 501(c)(3) so it's main intent is to make a profit. It It is not a "selective" honor society and only exists to pry on vulnerable college students. There are several honor societies at osu that are legitimate and great orgs to be in.From what I've heard and read, it's not necessarily a scam but not really worth spending the $95 membership fee on either. Wouldn't call it a scam, but more of a cash grab unless you really need something on your resume. It's not worth it. I did it sophomore year.Phi Beta Kappa.
