Save. We plan to visit Pike's Peak on August 1st. I am looking at getting tickets on the Cog Railway. There is a $10 difference between getting reserved tickets where we get to pick our seats vs. standard seats where we may not get to sit together. We have a family of five, so that is an extra $50!

The cog railway is a fantastic trip up to the summit of Pikes Peak. Beautiful scenery! Hopefully the tracks will be clear so you can do it. Luckily the tracks were clear of snow, and we made it up to the top. Unfortunately, there was 8 feet of snow on the ground, and the crew had to shovel their way into the gift shop.
