the best way is just to git gud. if you're not that good at invasions, it just takes practice and a build you're comfortable with. If you're struggling, get the dark sword and just spam r1. you're bound to catch a few people with it and leave with enough shackles. Keep in mind, invading as a mound maker gives you credit if you kill phantoms.

They do not need to have their Ember to summon you, and if they stay near a bonfire they will have no risk of losing any souls they may have. They don't even have to be near your ...
