There is a gradual shift in focus when the lens is focused at maximum aperture and then stopped down to f/2, f/2.8, f/4, and f/5.6.I think all the usual suspects work well on Z9. Nikon 200/2, 58/1.4G, 105/1.4E for F mount. For Z mount, 50/1.2S, 58/.95, 85/1.2S. I still wish 135/2 DC would have AF support but that's wishful thinking. Zeiss 135/2 apo-sonnar is. always nice. The rumored 35/1.2S could be interesting for environmental portrait.

I really like having the speed of f/2.8 on my "all-in-one" lens. Though the difference in size and weight is considerable, I find that the Sony 16-35/2.8 GM and the Sony 24-70/2.8 GM II give me better images and a wider range of "looks" than f/4 "all-in-one" lenses.
