If you want to go deep down the rabbit hole, you can do anything on Sierra Chart and it is way cheaper than Ninja Trader. Tradovate replay and simulation work pretty well and as someone mentioned, it's pretty good about not automatically filling you just bc the target is hit. I will offer this one bit of caution: if you are simulating trading during a low volume session, for example overnight, I would say its not that accurate bc stops get tagged pretty easily overnight vs regular hours.

Tradestation has much lower margins ($292 for MES) and rates. Would need to look into how the platform is though. Yea i looked at trade station before and decided on tradovate. I think they will get the reliability sorted out and honestly if it is only during crazy volatility times, i can avoid that.
