Holosun is only a little more than the swampfox with a much more prominent track record. Yes but I didn’t want to use a plate or mill the slide. Understandable. I dont know anything about shield optics. But swamp fox seems to have decent reviews and apparently very good customer service if you buy directly from them.

Thank you for posting this. Many people have been asking what other optic options there are and I can never figure out which Swampfox to tell them about. I've tried the 507K and Sentinel and Sentinel with the iron shield is my choice. Planning on using this set up for some "duty" training, we'll see how it hold up. That's because everyone goes crazy over the holosun hype.. I have their products and it's great i love them but swampfox sentinel with iron shield is also no joke. I like it better imo because of the always on brightness feature, warranty, and pricepoint. Right now they have the black friday deal which comes with iron sides shroud.

Fit is very good and the sight came with the correct screws for various guns. I got the always on version. The problem with the always on is it isnt really always on. In low light situations, the dot dims and then disappears. The Sentinel sits a bit higher on the SC. I like the Holosun better bc I still get a lower 1/3 - 1/4 co-witness with the factory iron sights and the side door battery is a plus. Also feel like the brightness levels are incrementally better on the Holosun than the Sentinel.
