So I can do things like compressor and boost before the "amp" and then post effects like delay and reverb. The effects of the HX are pretty good. Works great but I tried to change the midi command on a Helix preset (that switches the Tonex preset) and I can't find the midi command in the Command Center in HX Edit. I Have both an SLX and a Jube reissue. They each have a place. The SLX is the in your face Marshall though. Works pretty well with rolling back the guitar volume for kinda clean.
